Medication reminders

A warm voice that reminds, gently.

You add the medicines, or they manage their own if they'd rather. At the time, their phone says "This is Mimi Care. It's time for your medication." in the voice they picked in the app. One tap opens the reminder, and Mimi Care says which medicine it is.

A Mimi Care medicine reminder: “It’s time for Levothyroxine 50 mcg, 1 of 5 today,” with “Answer out loud,” “I took it,” “Not yet” and “Skip.”

What it does

Reminders that sound like a patient person.

A short spoken reminder in the Mimi Care voice they chose, with the details one tap away.

  • On the days the label says.

Every day at the times you set, on certain days of the week, or every few days. Medicines taken once a month aren't reminded automatically; add a calendar reminder for those.

  • A short line, then the details.

"This is Mimi Care. It's time for your medication." When they tap the reminder, Mimi Care says which medicine, its strength and the time it's for. You can also record a message in your own voice for a medicine.

  • You see what was marked taken.

They answer "I took it," "Not yet" or "Skip," with a tap or by saying "yes" or "not yet." If they share their medicines with you, you see which doses were marked taken, and you're told when one wasn't.

How it works

Three steps.

You set it up from their page, on the website or in the Mimi Care app.

  1. 1

Turn it on, with their yes.

Medication management starts off. You turn it on from their page. Unless they already share their medicines with you, Mimi Care asks them first, and nothing changes until they say yes.

  2. 2

    Add the medicines.

Add each medicine from a photo of the label or by typing it in, with its times. If they manage their own, they add them on their phone instead.

  3. 3

    Answer the reminder.

"I took it," "Not yet" (they're reminded again in 15 minutes) or "Skip." A tap, or "yes" and "not yet" out loud.

Why it matters

Medicines are easy to miss.

A missed dose is usually about forgetting, a complicated schedule or a label too small to read at 7 a.m., not about willingness.

No lectures. Mimi Care speaks up at the time, and if they share their medicines with you, you see which doses were marked taken. Not to monitor, but to notice when something has changed.

Mimi Care never tells them to "take it anyway" after a skipped dose and never gives dosing advice. Questions about doses go to their doctor or pharmacist.

Common questions.

Does Mimi Care give medical advice about the medicine?

No. Mimi Care reads the label, including any warnings printed on it, reminds them at the time, and sends questions about dosing, interactions or side effects to their doctor or pharmacist.

What if they miss a reminder?

If a dose hasn't been marked taken a while after its time, Mimi Care tells you: a notification on every phone signed in to your account, or an email if none of them can be reached. You get these while they share their medicines with you, and you can turn them off in your notification settings.

Can the reminder be in Spanish?

Yes. When their Mimi Care is set to Spanish, the spoken reminder is in Spanish too: "Soy Mimi Care. Es hora de su medicamento."

Does this need a smart speaker or extra hardware?

No. Just the iPhone or Android phone they already carry. No smart speaker, no new device to learn.

Who manages the medicines, you or them?

Either way works. When you turn medicines on, you choose: you set up each medicine and its reminder times, or they manage their own on their phone, by voice or tap, and you see what they're taking while they share their medicines with you. They can ask to switch later.

Help them stay independent.
